Rangers 3 – 1 Dundee

Rangers transferred to within 5 points of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic with a comfy resurgence win over Dundee regardless of Jose Cifuentes’ first-half red card.

The Ibrox side, unbeaten under Philippe Clement, were shocked at an early stage as Amadou Bakayoko responded to stab the ball in for Dundee to take the lead.

Cyriel Dessers netted the equaliser before James Tavernier transformed from the charge area after Aaron Donnelly’s nasty on Abdallah Sima.

Sima’s imposing header put them 3-1 up before Ciuentes’ yellow card for a hazardous obstacle on Bakayoko was updated to a red following a VAR check.

The outcome narrows Rangers’ space to Celtic, who play Kilmarnock on Sunday survive on Sky, to 5 points while Dundee stay seventh.
