A popular St. Louis-area restauranteur is shooting back in court at an insurer that supposedly rejected claims after a heavy rainstorm brought devastating damage to his dining establishment and later on implicated him of scams and libel when he talked to journalism about the concern.
Charlie Gitto’s From the Hill Italian dining establishment submitted a grievance in the St. Louis County Circuit Court on Dec. 18, implicating SECURA Insurance coverage of abuse of procedure for striking back as soon as the dining establishment owner reported his rejection of his claim for harmed residential or commercial property. The owner, Charlie Gitto Jr., informed regional media that due to the fact that “SECURA had actually unlawfully rejected the insurance coverage claim,” he would need to close his dining establishment, according to the grievance.
